Le 7 novembre, Jinpei Matsuda est tué par une bombe se trouvant dans la cabine n°72 de la Grande Roue du Centre Commercial d'Haido. La bombe a été posée par le même homme qui a tué le partenaire de Matsuda, Kenji Hagiwara, quatre ans auparavant. Matsuda se sacrifia pour transmettre un indice essentiel sur l'emplacement de la seconde bombe.</li>

La petite amie de Date se suicide peu après. Un proche de cette petite amie, pesant à tort qu'elle s'est tuée parce qu'un agent de police nommé Wataru lui avait fait du mal, il jeta sa haine sur le mauvais Wataru, Takagi.</li>

Il rencontre alors deux membres, d'une organisation secrète, appelés Gin et Vodka. Ils administrent un étrange poison à Shinichi, qui a pour effet de le rétrécir en un enfant de 7 ans, aors que les hommes pensaient qu'il allait le tuer.</li>

<li lang="fr-FR" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none">Akemi Miyano est tuée par l'agent de l'Organisation des Hommes en Noir, Gin. Le vol d'un million de yens devait libérer elle et sa sœur de l'Organisation. Sa mort fit que sa sœur arrêta le développement de l'APTX 4869. La mort d'Akemi Miyano créa une haine contre l'Organisation des Hommes en Noir chez Shuichi Akai.</li>

<p lang="fr-FR" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none">Les Détectives Boys sont formés.</p>

<p lang="fr-FR" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none">Amuro prend un congé du Café Poirot en faisant croire à une maladie. Il retrouve Conan, Sonoko et les Mouri en leur disant qu'il reprendrait son travail plus tard. Il appelle plus tard Vermouth, qui lui demande pourquoi il ne quitte pas l'Agence de Détective Mouri. Amuro lui répond que le "sommeil" de Kogoro l'a intrigué. Plus tard, il semble qu'Amuro sait que Conan est la personne qui a créé la légende de Kogoro l'Endormi. Après l'incident du Mystery Train, Kaito Kid tente de voler la Blush Mermaid (''litt''. Sirène Rougissante), une pierre attaché à la carapace d'une tortue. Sera suit Conan, Ran et Sonoko. Kid se déguise en Sera, mais ne vole pas la pierre, car c'est une fausse.</p>
